3. Registration
   Coaches are to download the MS Track & Field Registration Form (click for link), type in your athletes' information (including race number) and email it back to JM by Friday, September 28.

   Each school may enter two competitors, plus an alternate, in each event. Each school may enter only one team in the 4x100m relay. An athlete may enter a maximum of four events, plus the relay. Three of the four events (or five if in the relay) may be track events.Athletes can enter up to two out of the three long distance (800m, 1500m, 3000m) events. It is at the coach's discretion whether or not alternates attend the meet.

   Coaches are to ensure that 3000m entrants are able to run the race in 20 minutes or less.

4. Officials
   See Track & Field Officials Assignments 2006-07 (click for link) for full details and links to event-specific rules. The group talked about rotating the Starter assignment to the Track Marshall assignment so that everyone gets a turn but also gets some training the previous year.
   Action: Marc Barber and JM to draft a rotation and present at post-season meeting.
   
   
5. Results
   Results are posted outside of scorer's room/table.
   
   
6. Awards
   ACTION: JM to send ribbons, medallions and banner in Blue Box the week after the meet.
   
   
7. Substitute Teachers
   Track & Field sub code is: 1-230-300-000-47. Currently policy states that one sub is allowed for every 30 students. The group discussed how inadequate this coverage is given coaches are to 1) coach their kids, 2) supervise their kids and 3) run an event. The point was raised that supervision will be much more of a challenge this year at the Foothills venue (i.e. it's proximity to busy streets and off-site stores).
   Action: JM will try to get more subs: either change the ratio from 1 to 20 kids; add more subs for schools with demanding assignments (Starter, Track Marshall, Head Timer, Head Judge); will also look to see if we can add subs for the five field events as well).
   
   Please note that schools are still responsible for bring parent volunteers. We need them!
   
   
8. Busing
   Track & Field busing code is: 1-533-300-000-47.
   
   
9. Uniforms
   Schools are to wear school t-shirts or shirts of a similar colour. School colours are on the web.
   
   
10. Physiotherapy
    Dinos Sports Therapy has been booked.
    
    
11. Concession
    There will be a concession at Foothills for our meet.
    
    
12. Equipment
    Stop watches - RVSA has four good ones, several acceptable ones. If you're on the line, please bring watches.
