Reminder that the ASAA deadline for changing tiers is September 30.
Tier 2: Chestermere, Foothills
Tier 3: Springbank, Cochrane, George McDougall, Bert Church
Tier 4: Bow Valley
- Officials
- Coverage
The Calgary Football Officials Association has our schedule and has indicated they can provide coverage for all games.
- Fees
Fees have increased over last year:
Double header - $32 per man (up from $31)
Single game - $35 per man (up from $34)
- Rule Changes
Most of the rule changes are clarifications of the existing rules. The biggest change allows for a five-yard No Yards penalty for punts that hit the ground before they are caught by the receiving team.
- Plug-in Fees
Plug-in fees have increased $50 from last year to $1250. The $100 Football Alberta fee is included in your plug-in fee and the 2006-07 dues have been paid by the Rocky View Sports Association.
- Dinos Sports Therapy
- Fees
No fee increases this year. The cost per game is about $100 depending on the supplies used. The total cost of physio for the year is about $2500.
- Coverage
The coordinator has our schedule and will provide coverage.
- Schedule
October 28 is a very busy day for the CFOA but they have indicated they’ll cover our games that day. We may, however, have to slightly alter the start times.
- Commissioner
Steve Repic is in his second term as commissioner. Thanks, Steve for your interest in and dedication to RVSA football.
- Stats
Verne Friesen has agreed to do stats for us again. Thank you, Verne. Fax game sheets to Cochrane High and to the sports office (945-4111).
- Rosters
Rosters are to be submitted to my office by email by September 15.
- Code of Conduct
Please submit signed Code of Conduct forms to your principal, who will then submit his/her declaration to me.
- Fields
Chestermere and Springbank fields are being painted this Friday. Bert Church, Cochrane and Bow Valley will be done on Monday.
- Banquet

- Awards
I am drafting the procedure and deadlines for awards selection and will send it out in the next couple of weeks.
