FIBA Rules

Coaches’ Box:                   5 meters from Div. Line to baseline

Undershirts:                       Can be worn and must be same color as main jersey color/ASAA mod.

Injured Player:                   If ready within 15 sec. can play, or after time out is called

Bench Status:                    -Only head coach can stand

                                          -Home team to left of score table/shoot opposite

 

Kicked Ball:                       Any part of leg and intentional

Time Outs:                         -5 total,  2 in 1st half , 3 in 2nd. half,  1 in overtime

                                          -Never shortened

 

Disqualified Player:           30 sec. to replace

Closely Guarded:               5 sec. anywhere on court within 1 meter

8 Sec. Backcourt:               No reset

24 Sec Shot Clock:             Ball must hit rim

Front Court Status:             Once player or ball touches front court team is in front court

Throw-in:                           Throw –ins from front court cannot go to back court unless throw in is spotted at centre

Goal-tending:                     -Once ball touches glass above ring it can’t be touched

                                          -Ball can be played by either team after ball touches ring

-Player cannot vibrate ring or board if ball has chance to go in.  The penalty is a good basket not a technical foul.

 

Double-Foul:                      No shots

Unsportsmanlike Foul:       2 or 3 shots and possession at centre, if basket is scored only one shot.

Technical Fouls:                -2 free throws plus possession at centre

                                          -Count towards players 5 personal fouls and team bonus        

                                          -“T” on bench goes to coach not to team bonus

 

Disqualifications:               -Players with 2 unsportsmanlike fouls

                                          -Coach with 2 direct “T” fouls or 3 bench “T’s”

                                                           

Free- Throws:                    -2 shots after 5 fouls per quarter

                                          -5 sec. to shoot

                                          -3 defenders, 2 teammates on line.  Players not allowed in neutral zone/blocks

 

Last 2 Minutes:                   - Clock stops on all baskets

- If scored upon team calls a timeout in the last 2 mins the ball will be moved to centre for the throw – in. The ball can then be thrown into the back court with a new 8 sec.
