High School Cheerleading Pre-season Meeting Minutes January 17, 2006

Thanks to Trish Hutton for serving as commissioner this season.
Reviewed handbook for the benefit of the sports coordinator.
The Divisional competition fee is $150, which covers the costs of judges’ travel and the judges’ room. ACTION: Schools to pay WG Murdoch.
Deadline for registration for Divisional competition is February 3. ACTION: Teams are to register with Trish Hutton.

We currently have 32 first-place medallions. The group decided that, in order to include alternates, we need more medallions. ACTION: JM to order 10 more.
We currently have two banners: one for small squad and one for large squad.
ACTION: JM to find out what trophies we have.
ACTION: JM to present awards at the conclusion of the competition.
There is currently no mention in the handbook of coaches needing to be certified by the ACA.
Coaches and athletes are to sign code of conduct forms and submit to their administrators.
TH has booked judges for the competition.
ACTION: TH to book first aid through either St. Johns’ Ambulance or a volunteer firefighter.
ACTION: TH to finalize schedule of events and circulate to coaches. Also send to sports coordinator so it can be posted on the web.
