  1. Scheduling Meeting

Tuesday, February 7, 6:00 pm
Need to determine if teams can declare tiers at this meeting.

  1. Pre-season Meeting

Tuesday, April 11, 6:00 pm

  1. Other

Matt Baugh, from Bow Valley, submitted a proposal to the group, stating that Tier 4 schools should be included in and play in the Rocky View Tier 3 play-off game.
Rationale:

  1. Basketball and volleyball both allow this.
  2. Three weeks is too long to sit without a game.
  3. Does not affect Provincial ambitions, only Tier 3 league.
  4. Tier 4 schools pay same fees yet receive less value.

The group discussed MB’s proposal. Cochrane coaches stated that it does affect the structure of Division play-offs and who goes to Provincials. It was suggested that the group needs to wait and address the proposal at the point where teams declare their Tiers. The proposal is to be brought to the pre-season meeting.
