3. RVSA Handbook

Handbook was attached for reference and review.

4. Registration

Deadline: Monday, March 27
ACTION: JM to attach registration form to minutes email.
ACTION:  Coaches to register players by email using the template provided.
Schools are allowed two entries/classification except for Juvenile which is allowed three entries per classification.
ACTION: Once all teams are registered, JM to draft and distribute draws. Note: Draws will need to be re-done the day of the competition if teams/competitors fail to show.

9. League fees

$70 per school
     

10. Awards
1. First, second and third place medallions for all categories

ACTION:  JM to send to host schools in blue box.

2. Division Championship trophy for highest aggregate points

ACTION: Cochrane to have trophy on display

3. Division Championship banner for highest aggregate total.

ACTION:  JM/MS to have on hand during the day.

11. Code of Conduct

Athletes, parents and coaches must sign Code of Conduct forms before the first league game or they are not eligible to participate. Principals are to send their declarations to the sports coordinator prior to the start of league.
ACTION:  JM to email forms to Dallas Peterson, Airdrie Koinonia.

12. Supervision

ACTION:  JM to arrange community use supervisors for Mitford and Bearspaw. Update: A community use supervisor has been booked for Mitford.

13. Dress Code

School colours or white t-shirts

14. Shuttles

ACTION: JM to order 13 more tubes for a total of 20 tubes, five per venue.

15. Out-of-Pocket Expenses
1. Covered for school and community coaches. See Section 2 By-Laws (on the web) for details of expenses covered by the RVSD.
2. Expense form (AP102) on the web.
3. Submit completed form (signed by your principal) to Accounts Payable.

16. Number of Grade 9 teams (motion from last year)

The group discussed the developmental success of allowing three teams to be entered into Juvenile categories.
Motion:  Jason Crawford, Cochrane, moves to permanently allow Grade 9s to enter three teams in all categories. Seconded by Dallas Peterson, Airdrie Koinonia
Vote: Unanimously passed: 9 in favour, 0 against

17. Results

All results are to go to Cochrane at the end of the day. ACTION: Coaches are to send them with Mel Sly, another coach or Jacquie Mirtle.

18. Zones

The top two teams/competitors go to the Zone championships. ACTION: JM to complete Zone registration.
