  2. Commissioner
Thank you to Rick Ross, Cochrane High, for stepping up as commissioner this year.

  3. RVSA Handbook
    Reviewed disciplinary measures:
    1. Players/coaches ejected from a game due to unsportsmanlike and/or flagrant conduct or receiving one red card or two yellow cards in one game are automatically suspended for the next league or playoff game and receive a disciplinary letter from the commissioner, with copies sent to the coach, principal and sports coordinator.
    2. Players/coaches accumulating three or more penalty (yellow) cards during the season are suspended from the next league or play off game and receive a disciplinary letter from the commissioner, with copies sent to the coach, principal and sports coordinator.
    3. Players that receive two or more red cards in a season have their participation in the RVSA Soccer league reviewed by the commissioner, sports coordinator and RVSD superintendent designate.

  4. Schedule
The schedule was revised to reflect the fact Bow Valley is fielding a team. Last year's home and away series were flipped but the number of home and away games is not balanced between this year and last year. If we have six teams next year then it will even things out.

A rain out date for Wednesday, May 23 was added to the schedule.

The group also reviewed home fields:
    Cochrane, Cochrane High
    Springbank, Park for All Seasons
Bert Church, Bert Church High (across the lake)
    Bow Valley, Mitford Pond
    Chestermrere, Chestermere High
    George McDougall, Monkland Park

We're also going to look at moving the Divisional bronze and gold medal games to Springbank Park for All Seasons
Action: JM to book Springbank Park for All Seasons and Monkland Park; Rob Makkreel to book Mitford Pond
Action: JM to arrange for Rocky View fields to be lined.

  11. Other
The group discussed moving the boys soccer league to the fall and the impact it would have on coaches and players. The consensus was it would avoid the inevitable conflict with club soccer in the spring.
Motion: Brian DeGiuseppe, George McDougall moved that we run boys and girls soccer at the same time in the fall. Rick Ross, Cochrane, seconded the motion.
Vote: Motion passed: 2 for, 1 against, 1 abstained.
Note: If the motion passes through Parameters then the boys schedule would go to a double round-robin to mirror the girls schedule.
