- RVSA Handbook and Rule Modifications
Reviewed motions that were passed through Parameters:
Dayna Artis (Ralph McCall) moved that seeding at the first Jr. A tournament of the 2006-07 season be determined by school population. A population of greater than 200 grade 7 & 8 students* will compete in one seeding tournament; a population of less than 200 grade 7 & 8 students* will compete in the other seeding tournament. Rationale: To make the seeding tournament fairer and even out skill levels within tiers.
Motion 6: Chris Spruyt (Banded Peak) moved that teams can apply in writing to the commissioner and sports coordinator to move up or down after the first tournament only. Rationale: Gives some flexibility but still allows us to determine tiers, schedules and venues ahead of time.
Reviewed and updated Jr. A Rules at a Glance and Jr. B Rules at a Glance. Click on links to download. Host schools are to have a copy of these documents at the scorer's table.
