- Schedule
The schedule was revised to reflect WG Murdoch entering the league. Coaches decided to: 1) play Tuesdays and Thursdays to shorten the schedule and accommodate the PD Day and the long weekend, and 2) start the season a bit earlier, on April 24.
The play-off format will be as follows:
Quarter Finals - 7 @ 2, 6 @ 3, 5 @ 4, 1 bye
Semi Finals - Winner of 6 vs. 3 @ 1;
Winner of 5 vs. 4 against winner of 7 vs. 2 (at higher seed)
Divisional Finals - gold and bronze medal games will be played at Monkland Park in Airdrie
Note: As there is no room in our schedule for a rain/snow out date, iIf we need to make up games we will cancel the quarter finals and the top four teams will play semi finals for a berth in the Divisional final.

- Awards
There are first, second and third place medallions as well as a Divisional Championship banner and trophy.
Action: The defending champion, Cochrane High, is to bring trophy to the Divisional final.
- Code of Conduct
Action: Players and coaches are to sign Code of Conduct forms
and submit to school administrator. This is to be done before your first
game.
- Officials
Barry is the referee coordinator for Airdrie this year (yeah!) and will book Airdrie and WG Murdoch officials. JM will book Chestermere, Springbank and Cochrane refs. We will have one official at each regular season game and, for the Divisional finals, one ref and two carded linespeople.
Reminder: Host schools are responsible for supplying and properly training two linespeople for regular season games.
- Rosters
Please fax/email rosters to Jacquie by April 22.
- Discipline Policy
Coaches asked for a review of the RVSA discipline policy:
- Players/coaches ejected from a game due to unsportsmanlike and/or flagrant conduct or receiving one red card or two yellow cards in one game are automatically suspended for the next league or playoff game and receive a disciplinary letter from the commissioner, with copies sent to the coach, principal and sports coordinator.
- Players/coaches accumulating three or more penalty (yellow) cards during the season are suspended from the next league or play off game and receive a disciplinary letter from the commissioner, with copies sent to the coach, principal and sports coordinator.
- Players that receive two or more red cards in a season have their participation in the RVSA Soccer league reviewed by the commissioner, sports coordinator and RVSD superintendent designate.
