2. Commissioner
   Thank you to Tim Masse, from George McDougall, for his work as commissioner this year.
   
   
3. Results
   Thanks to Doug Massig, from Chestermere High, for doing stats again this year.
   
   
4. Officials
   CVOA coverage was disappointing this year. Thank you to coaches for helping cover all our games. The group discussed the lack of officials in our league and other leagues around the city and how we can improve coverage. It was suggested we put a fine system in place for no-shows. Action: JM to consult with CBE and see how their relationship with the CVOA is and whether or not they use a fine system.
   
   More discussion focussed on how to help them recruit officials. Previous attempts have been made but perhaps not with the right people. Action: JM to contact CVOA president Jay Schultz with our concerns and an offer to help recruit. If results aren't satisfactory then I will go to the AVOA.
   
   
5. Divisional Championships
   Thank you to George McDougall for hosting. Discussion was mostly positive regarding our new play-off format. We certainly couldn't do it with any less than two gyms. It was not ideal to have the JV Girls quarter finals cross-court but that was the only way to squeeze 24 matches into one-and-a-half days.
   
   Schools are asked to really check their trophy cases as we have only two trophies: Senior Girls and Boys. Action: Bow Valley to check their case for JV trophies. If they don't turn up then JM will order new ones.
   
   
6. Banquet
   Monday, December 1 at 6:30

   $16 price
   Deadline for numbers is Friday, November 21.
   Schools are to email Chelsea Somerville with your numbers and also and digital photos you have.
   Guest speaker is TBA. Chris Hamilton, Cochrane High, is going to see if he can help book someone.
   Action: JM to design and print program and supply centrepieces and tablecoverings.
   
   
7. 2009-10 Season
   Three ideas to bring forward to the pre-season meeting:
   a. Bring back the pre-season tournament and work with the CVOA to make this a reffing clinic opportunity.
   b. Reduce the number of girls teams that qualify for the play-offs in order to cut down on the number of quarter final matches.
   c. Remove Article VII, number 3 from the volleyball handbook and insert vote on a motion that says if teams play with an unscheduled official that the result does not stand (i.e. it's an exhibition match).
