Thank you to Jason Nail, from Meadowbrook, for volunteering to do this.

  3. Meet Details
    Thursday, September 30
Alternate Date is Thursday, October 7
    Eastlake Athletic Park, Airdrie

  4. Schedule
Schedule of Events was circulated and approved. The group decided to start the field events at 11:00. We will be running four heats of the 3000m race as it is too difficult to manage two heats.
Please note: If you have an athlete running in the 3000m then you are required to be at the finish line to count laps and help with timing. If you are not at the finish line, your student will not be allowed to compete.

  5. Registration
Registration will be done online through Direct Athletic this year. Registration deadline: Friday, September 24. JM will send out detailed instructions in a separate email.

Each school may enter two competitors, plus an alternate, in each event. Each school may enter only one team in the 4x100m relay. An athlete may enter a maximum of three field events and three track events, plus the relay. It is at the coach's discretion whether or not alternates attend the meet.

Coaches are to ensure that 3000m entrants are able to run the race in 20 minutes or less. Average time is 15 minutes.

Direct Athletics automatically assigns a race number. ACTION: JM to send race numbers via Blue Box, coaches to distribute to athletes according to number indicated on the roster I send you.

  6. Results
JM will run results with Hy-Tek Meet Manager in an area separated from where students. We will also have an information table/tent that will be manned by volunteers to answer questions from kids and parents. They will also make loudspeaker announcements. The meet schedule and results will also be posted here.
